Job summary

Focus Partners Wealth is seeking a Director of Investment Strategy to lead the integration of joining firms onto the unified investment platform, working with legacy teams to transition portfolios and educate advisors for a smooth post-closing process.

Based on a hybrid schedule in Chicago, St. Louis, or Boston, the role demands deep investment knowledge, leadership, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver scale and high client retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, engineering, finance, math, or related field.
• 15+ years of investment-related experience.
• Experience with trading and rebalancing.
• Broad knowledge of public and private investment strategies.
• Experience with portfolio models and rebalancing systems.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
• Ability to communicate with business leaders and advisors.
• Experience with M&A investment integration.

Responsibilities

• Create and oversee the execution of integration plans for joining firms onto the unified investment platform.
• Develop understanding of legacy portfolios and proprietary strategies.
• Work with legacy firms to select options from the platform to direct legacy client portfolios.
• Collaborate with portfolio operations to integrate targets into centralized management.
• Oversee migration of legacy positions to recommended strategies with tax considerations.
• Serve as primary liaison to legacy firm and investment leadership teams.
• Educate legacy firm advisors on the investment platform.
• Coordinate sequencing and schedules for firm integrations and provide regular updates.
