With a longstanding reputation in a high-growth, project-based services sector, the firm provides M&A advisory, valuations, strategic consulting, and financial performance benchmarking to privately held firms, founder-led businesses, and growth-focused organizations. The firm operates with a highly collaborative culture, combining deep sector specialization with data-informed strategic insights.

The Opportunity:

As part of its continued growth strategy, the firm is seeking a M&A Director to lead transaction origination/execution and client engagement within its M&A advisory practice. This role is ideal for a senior deal professional with significant experience advising technical or professional services firms, particularly within the AEC, infrastructure, or environmental sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions from pitch through closing.
• Provide strategic guidance and financial insights to C-suite executives and founder-led clients.
• Manage teams of associates and analysts, overseeing the preparation of financial models, presentations, and client deliverables.
• Build and maintain relationships with business owners, strategic acquirers, private equity firms, and other industry stakeholders.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on business development, thought leadership, and market positioning.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the firm’s tools, methodologies, and advisory services.

Key Requirements:

• 8-12+ years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, or corporate finance.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience advising or operating in the AEC, infrastructure, or environmental consulting sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex transaction processes and serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives.
• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities within deal teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
• FINRA Series 79 and 63 preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for client engagements and conferences.
