Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research is seeking a Director, Investigational Drug Section to oversee IDS operations at the assigned site and fulfill clinical pharmacist duties. This role includes drug order verification, dispensing, documentation for investigational and conventional chemotherapy, and supervision of IDS staff.

The director will ensure SOP and QA adherence, provide pharmaceutical care, and collaborate with site leadership on workflows, inventory, and study medication management

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy and a current state license.
• Hospital/clinic pharmacy experience with sterile compounding in chemotherapy.
• Knowledge of GCP principles and familiarity with oncology trials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IDS operations and supervise site pharmacy staff and technicians.
• Verify medication orders, dispense, document, and ensure drug safety.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and QA guidelines for Phase I and conventional meds.
• Provide pharmaceutical care and drug information to the team and patients.
• Maintain drug inventories and accurate documentation in EMR and IDS systems.
