What We Need

The Director of NBA Insights provides strategic leadership and vision for the NBA 2K franchise’s global research initiatives. This role is responsible for developing the infrastructure and narratives that support a player-first approach across the organization. It scales outstanding insight tools, deepens understanding of the Total Addressable Market (TAM), and ensures player-centric data informs franchise strategy and global marketing resonance. This role is required to come onsite 3 days a week in our Novato, CA HQ location.

What You Will Do

• Strategic Insight Tools: Identifies, develops, and scales industry-leading insight tools through vendor prioritization and in-house development in partnership with the internal Data Science and Experimentation team.
• Foundational Player Knowledge: Coordinates deep-dive research to broaden the organization's understanding of current players and the Total Addressable Market (TAM) to identify new growth opportunities.
• Integrated Storytelling: Uses advanced insight tools and player knowledge to advise, influence, and champion a player-first approach across Marketing, Commercial, and Product business unit initiatives.
• Executive Partnership: Collaborates with senior leadership and VP-level stakeholders to ensure player insights are integrated into the 1–3 year franchise roadmap.
• Team Leadership: Directs the global NBA Insights team, encouraging a culture of technical excellence and overseeing the career development of management-level reports.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $176,600.00 and $261,380.00 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for employees in regular roles may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, provided that temporary or intern roles will not be eligible for many of these payments or benefits. Details of participation in compensation and benefit plans (if applicable) will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
