Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Illinois is seeking a Nurse Executive to lead strategic planning and program development across inpatient and outpatient services. The role requires strong leadership to coordinate operations and ensure high quality patient care in alignment with the hospital’s mission.

The candidate should have a BSN and MSN (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years in healthcare leadership, with preferred Critical Care experience and RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in healthcare leadership.
• RN licensure (Registered Nurse) required.
• MSN or related master’s degree preferred or required by combination
• Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer all operational aspects to ensure high quality patient care.
• Develop and implement strategic plans aligning with Advocate Health Care/South Suburban Hospital’s mission and values.
• Lead planning, marketing, and development of new service lines and programs with business development.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards following quality and external guidelines (DNV, IDPH, CMS, CDC, OSHA).
• Support professional and personal growth and development of staff.

• Development and implementation of strategic plans that integrate the goals of Advocate Health Care/South Suburban Hospital’s Mission, Values, and Philosophy.
• Lead strategic planning, marketing, and new service line/program development efforts for assigned service lines, both inpatient and outpatient programs, in collaboration with business development. Market and promote service in conjunction with other disciplines and departments.
• Development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards which follow quality management, DNV, IDPH, CMS, CDC, OSHA, and other external guidelines.
• Responsible for professional and personal growth and development.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) and Masters Degree any field OR Bachelors Degree any field with a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Minimum 5 years in healthcare leadership.
• Critical Care experience preferred.
• Nurse, Registered (RN)

Certification

• Nurse Executive Certification and/or certification in specialty preferred (or within 2 years of hire into position)
