Job summary

Whip Media is seeking a Director, Infrastructure to lead strategic IT infrastructure planning, design, and operations from Santa Monica, CA. This full-time role is remote, with regular availability during Eastern Time business hours to support collaboration across the team.

You will shape the infrastructure roadmap, mentor a growing team, and oversee network, server, storage, and cloud environments. Strong leadership, cloud expertise, and security focus are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT infrastructure management experience with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Proven design and management of complex IT infrastructure including cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of network architecture, servers, storage, and cybersecurity.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Proven large-scale project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic vision for IT infrastructure.
• Lead and manage the infrastructure team with mentorship.
• Oversee design, deployment, and maintenance of network, servers, storage, and cloud.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of IT systems.
• Manage infrastructure projects within budget and timeline.
• Establish policies and standards for infrastructure management and security.
• Monitor performance and implement improvements.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging tech.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
