Job summary

The WMATA Director, Infrastructure Optimization & Technology Improvements leads benchmarking, development, and execution of initiatives to enhance reliability of the Authority’s assets, including stations, yards, and tracks. The role oversees asset data capture, KPI reporting, and data-driven maintenance planning.

Collaborating with Infrastructure leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners, the Director identifies opportunities for process improvement and strengthens the Power BI

Qualifications

• Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
• Experience delivering data, dashboards, and BI solutions.
• Ability to translate operational needs into actionable technology.

Responsibilities

• Oversees teams capturing and reporting asset maintenance KPIs for data-driven decisions.
• Develops processes to implement strategies, including contracting structures and cost analyses.
• Leads strategic initiatives aligned with Authority goals.
• Directs maintenance improvement strategy, track access, inspections, and tech solutions.
• Conducts benchmarking for enterprise infrastructure solutions and makes recommendations.
• Collaborates with Digital Modernization and external partners.
