Job summary

Capital One is seeking a technical security product leader to deliver game-changing cybersecurity solutions at scale. You’ll translate risk, data, and design thinking into strategic roadmaps and security capabilities for engineering partners and customers.

You will lead senior product managers, drive threat-focused product strategy, and influence executives while managing complex, high-visibility cybersecurity programs across multiple teams. This role is based in Richmond, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 7 years of experience in cybersecurity.
• At least 5 years of people management experience.
• At least 5 years of experience translating cybersecurity strategy into product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate a risk-based, data-driven strategy and roadmaps for enterprise security services in partnership with engineering and operations.
• Analyze and select alternatives based on threat, risk, desirability, feasibility, and viability.
• Keep abreast of advances in industry to address the threat landscape.
• Advise executive decision makers based on business and technology risk.
• Facilitate build vs. buy decisions to address risks.
• Develop and lead RFI/RFPs to procure cyber solutions.
• Maintain technical and risk credibility with teams and partners.
• Ensure services meet the needs of engineers and business partners as products evolve.
• Iterate quickly and drive products from concept to production and scale.
• Establish product value propositions, metrics, and key indicators.
• Recruit, motivate, mentor, and lead those around you.
