Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Director Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to align human capital strategies with our goals across the U.S. This role acts as a strategic advisor to leadership, drives workforce planning and organizational effectiveness, and mentors HR teams to build a high-performance culture.

The position emphasizes DEI, workforce transitions, and compliance while partnering with Legal and Risk teams to navigate complex employee relations and policy application.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree or advanced HR certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of ten years of progressive Human Resources experience; HRBP experience in high volume, people services operations desired.
• Experience partnering with leaders across all levels to drive enterprise-wide talent strategy, workforce planning and cultural transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide talent initiatives by partnering with HR Leadership to align workforce planning, organizational design and leadership development with Sunrise’s long-term business goals.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to Divisional/Portfolio/Regional Field Leadership, offering insight on talent decisions and organizational change.
• Review and analyze performance metrics to enable data-driven decision making and workforce optimization.
• Lead and inspire a high-performing HR team, providing direction and coaching to community level HR staff.
• Champion people-centric initiatives across communities to ensure equity in engagement and performance management practices.
• Ensure effective training and performance management processes are delivered by HR and Field Leadership.
• Drive cultural transformation by promoting Sunrise’s mission, values and DEI commitments.
