Job summary

Westchester Medical Center Health Network seeks a Director of Facilities to oversee daily operations of engineering, maintenance and repair for its buildings, equipment and systems. You will implement policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and manage vendor contracts and external contractors.

The role requires 5–8 years in facilities management, including supervisory hospital experience, and a degree in Engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of progressive experience in facilities management, including three years in a supervisory role in a hospital/healthcare facility.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance with Joint Commission or DNV, fire, utilities and hazardous materials safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the engineering, maintenance and repair functions.
• Develops and enforces policies and procedures for facilities management to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates environmental permits and testing requirements.
• Manages vendor contracts and external contractors.
• Develops energy management initiatives and cost control efforts.
• Prepares department operating and capital budgets with senior leadership.
