Job summary

Healthrise in the United States seeks a Director, Hospital Billing Coding to lead domestic hospital coding operations and oversee staffing, inventory, workflow, and backlog management. You will coordinate with global delivery leadership to align offshore teams while ensuring accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRG/APR-DRG, APC, HCPCS, revenue codes, modifiers, and POA indicators.

The role drives Pre-AR and SLA performance, coding turnaround time, and escalation management, partnering with Quality,

Qualifications

• Active hospital coding credential required (AHIMA or AAPC) such as CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CIC or COC.
• Minimum 7 years of hospital/facility coding experience with 3+ years in leadership.
• Experience leading multi-facility hospital coding operations and SLA/TAT delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital coding operations across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and ancillary accounts.
• Manage staffing, backlog, work-queue health, and capacity planning.
• Oversee coding quality, audits, and corrective actions with cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with global delivery leadership and client stakeholders to meet SLAs.
