Instructure is seeking a Director, Strategic Affairs for Higher Education to lead North American initiatives, engaging state and local policymakers and business leaders to translate influence into revenue opportunities across Canvas, Mastery, and Parchment.

The role reports to the VP, Strategic Affairs and partners with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product to shape go-to-market strategy, monitor legislation, manage lobbying partners, and advance procurement approaches.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in government affairs or public policy.
• Proven ability to drive revenue or pipeline targets with senior leaders.
• Strong understanding of education funding and workforce policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, adaptable to legislative briefings and sales discussions.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Aufgaben

• Help lead Government Affairs and go-to-market strategy for Higher Education in North America.
• Develop statewide deal pipelines by connecting funding sources with Canvas, Mastery, and Parchment.
• Monitor education and tech legislation; translate into actionable guidance for Sales, Marketing, CS, and Product.
• Build relationships with policymakers and education associations; represent Instructure in forums.
• Oversee advocacy partners and lobbying firms; set goals and measure results.
• Shape procurement strategies to increase win rates beyond RFPs.
• Advise senior leaders on digital transformation and workforce development.
• Demonstrate revenue impact of policy and government engagement.
• Contribute to international public policy initiatives.
• Maintain efficient sales and delivery processes.
