Job summary

The Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University seeks an academic Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant physician to direct the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Section. This position offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team in expanding services at the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital, mentor junior faculty, and advance heart failure research. Candidates must be board-eligible or certified in heart failure and cardiology, and qualified for an academic appointment. A U.S.-accredited cardiology fellowship is required.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified in heart failure and transplant cardiology.
• Completion of a U.S.-accredited cardiology fellowship.
• Eligibility for an Ohio medical license.
• Clinical or translational research experience preferred.
• Qualified for an academic appointment at The Ohio State University.

Responsibilities

• Expand outpatient and inpatient services at the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital.
• Advance heart failure research through clinical and translational projects.
• Mentor junior faculty and trainees, fostering academic development.
• Lead a high-performing team of academic physicians.

Education

Completion of a U.S.-accredited cardiology fellowship
