Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking a senior operations leader to plan, organize, and control the facility's Engineering Services. This role drives operational efficiency within budget and leads capital projects to support safe, high-quality patient care.

The position requires 3–5 years of hospital operations management, knowledge of OSHA/JCAHO/NFPA standards, and expertise in electrical, HVAC, and medical gas systems. Strong leadership, planning, and financial acumen are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of management experience in hospital operations and maintenance.
• Knowledge of OSHA, JCAHO, and NFPA regulations.
• Working knowledge of electrical power, HVAC, and medical gas systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates operations and improves efficiency.
• May serve as Hospital Safety Officer.
• Controls costs and ensures expenses meet budget.
• Budget responsibilities up to $2 million operating and up to $1 million in capital expenditures.
• Project management of capital projects up to $500,000 range.
• Mentor and support staff development.
• Ensure safe care to patients, staff and visitors and adherence to policies.
