Job summary

enGen is seeking a leader to drive healthcare interoperability and data exchange strategy with a focus on bidirectional data flow between Highmark Health and its provider network. You will oversee data platforms, ensure accuracy, and enable scalable access to data via APIs and standards like HL7 and FHIR.

The role emphasizes governance, production stability, and collaboration with IT partners to optimize care management, utilization and claims operations across the ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Health Informatics or related field
• 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
• Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic roadmap and execution for healthcare data exchange, leveraging deep expertise in both payer and provider technology ecosystems to bridge technical and operational gaps.
• Ensure robust data integration utilizing HL7 V2, FHIR to support clinical workflows, population health initiatives, and payer-provider alignment.
• Involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.
• Monitor, maintain, and support operational and analytic data platforms, ensuring latest tools are used and quality control processes are effective.
• Support data and analytic end-users for data access, awareness, understanding, and troubleshooting to ensure successful information delivery.
• Deliver production assets on a timely basis to enable end-users to be more efficient and effective.
