Job summary

The University of Florida’s UF Health Jacksonville campus seeks a Director of Health Care Administration in the Department of Urology to lead administrative, financial, and operational functions for the department.

Reporting to the Chair, you will oversee budgeting, physician practice operations, recruitment, and compliance, collaborating with UFJPI, UF Health, and College of Medicine‑Jacksonville to ensure efficient clinical operations and strategic growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience.

Responsibilities

• Financial Management and Strategic Planning: develop and monitor departmental budgets, forecasts, and reports; analyze physician productivity, revenue, expenses, compensation, and performance; advise on resource allocation and priorities; monitor performance and identify improvements.
• Clinical Practice and Operational Management: coordinate practice operations with UFJPI and UF Health; monitor productivity, patient access, scheduling, clinic capacity, and operations; collaborate on revenue cycle, coding, and collections; improve patient experience and provider satisfaction.
• Faculty, Personnel, and Academic Administration: coordinate recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, compensation, and evaluations; oversee staff and workflows; support residency/fellowship administration; ensure policy compliance.
• Research and Educational Support: coordinate research administration and grant budgets; support educational programs; identify opportunities to strengthen activities.
• Business Development and Program Growth: evaluate expansion opportunities, develop business plans, and collaborate on marketing and partnerships.
• General Administration, Compliance, and Facilities: coordinate facilities and equipment; implement policies; represent department at meetings.
