About the Role

Sodexo is seeking a Director, Health & Safety to support regional segments with leadership, continual improvement, regulatory compliance, regional coordination, and fostering a zero-harm culture.

This is a remote position, ideally residing in Alabama, Atlanta Georgia, Florida, or St. Louis Missouri. The role requires approximately 25% travel.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee Health & Safety programs across North America, focusing on accounts in Florida and 18 other states.
  2. Ensure regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  3. Lead a team of four Health & Safety Managers to promote safety excellence and continuous improvement.
  4. Support brand and business growth by aligning HSE objectives with organizational goals.
  5. Develop, implement, and manage safety policies, procedures, and activities.
  6. Provide technical guidance and oversee incident investigations and corrective actions.
  7. Lead in managing complex or sensitive safety situations and coordinate safety initiatives across regions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in occupational health & safety, risk control, or related fields.
  • Strong incident investigation skills, including root cause analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, risk assessments, and problem-solving.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills on-site.
  • Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheets, and Data Visualization Tools like Tableau.
