Job summary
New York University seeks a Director of Clinical Informatics and Information Technology to lead SHC's technology and informatics strategy. You will align clinical operations with university IT standards, oversee EHR architecture and analytics, and ensure cybersecurity and regulatory compliance across the health tech portfolio.
The role leads nine direct reports and partners with clinical and university leaders to deliver safe, high-quality care across NYU's health network and public health
Qualifications
- 10+ years of leadership in health information technology or clinical informatics.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary technology teams and managers.
- Proven SME for EHR clinical architecture, CDS, and workflow design.
- Governance of complex programs with clinicians, admins, and vendors.
- Management of cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead NYU SHC technology strategy and its integration with NYU IT.
- Oversee EHR optimization, data analytics, and risk management.
- Provide organizational leadership for nine direct reports across SHC and NYU IT.
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and university leaders to ensure safe, high-quality care.
- Drive governance for analytics, privacy, and system interoperability.
