Job summary

New York University seeks a senior leader to shape the strategic direction for clinical information technology within the Student Health Center and NYU’s public health function. You will drive the life cycle of health IT initiatives, coordinating SHC IT, clinicians, and vendors to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.

You will translate clinical data into actionable knowledge, evaluate new applications, and ensure compliance with accreditation standards as the Health Information System lead.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; master preferred.
• Extensive health informatics and data engineering experience (5+ years).
• Experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for clinical IT within SHC and NYU health functions.
• Manage full project lifecycle for health information system design and implementation.
• Lead medium to large scale projects with SHC IT, clinical staff, and vendor teams.
• Translate clinical data into actionable information and reporting for daily practice.
• Research and recommend new applications for strategic clinical needs.
• Serve as liaison to clinical users and NYU leadership on IT initiatives.
