The role emphasizes applying machine learning and econometrics to inform policy decisions. The candidate should have 8+ years in SQL/Python/R or SAS, 6+ years in federal health policy, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience using SQL, Python, R or SAS in a research, consulting, or business environment.
• 6+ years of experience working on federal health policy issues, including Medicare and Medicaid value-based payment.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid claims data and enrollment data.
• Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks platforms and with advising clients.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform quantitative analysis to inform Medicare/Medicaid payment models.
• Develop relationships with clients and design payment calculations.
• Query large healthcare data and apply ML, econometrics, and visualization methods.
• Mentor staff and write specifications and documentation.
