Job summary

LG Energy Solution Vertech, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Director of Project Execution to lead a team of project managers in delivering grid-scale battery storage deployments on time and within budget.

The role partners with engineering, sales, legal, and project controls to drive successful project delivery. You will own project financial performance, manage risk, and implement best practices, with approximately 25–35% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of successful project leadership experience.
• Mastery of project execution planning, including schedule, budget, resource management, risk management, EHS, procurement, quality assurance, change management, and subcontract management.
• History of executive-level customer relationship management, including contract terms negotiation, change-order resolution, risk management, and issue escalation.
• Experience in grid-scale battery storage and/or renewable energy industries preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong financial acumen including forecasting, margin, cash flow, and commercial risk.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a project management team to execute multiple large-scale projects on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risks across technical, financial, contractual and regulatory factors.
• Partner with Project Controls to establish schedules, cost forecasts, and performance reporting.
• Implement best practices and standardize project management processes.
• Coach and develop Project Managers and Portfolio Managers.
• Provide portfolio-level oversight and escalation for systemic risks to senior leadership.
• Maintain strong stakeholder communication and manage expectations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, contractual obligations, and industry standards.
• Stay current with technologies, trends, and best practices in project execution.
