Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Director of Property (D1) to lead the capital, customer, and US Government property functions for our Defense Systems Sector. This role reports to the Sector Director Sr.

Director of Contracts Compliance, Global Trade and Property, and will reside at our Linthicum, MD; McLean, VA; Northridge, CA; Elkton, MD; Warner Robbins, GA; Huntsville, AL; Rocket Center, WV; Plymouth, MN; Mesa, AZ; or Roy, UT facility.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and related government contracting rules.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years in property management or Master’s with 8+ years.
• Knowledge of the DFARS business systems.
• Knowledge of the SOX reporting requirements.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance.
• 50% travel time is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead government/customer and company property functions across the sector.
• Set/implement the strategic direction for the Government Property organization.
• Establish/implement property procedures to ensure compliant operations.
• Maintain compliant Government Property operations per policies and requirements.
• Serve as primary interface to customers, auditors, and senior management.
• Identify and implement tools to track and report government/customer property.
• Develop and generate key property reporting information and metrics.
• Ensure compliance to FAR/DFARS and related contracting regulations.
• Develop and implement processes for self-assessments, inventories, and subcontractor controls.
• Continuously improve processes for effective property management.
