Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Director of Site Reliability Engineering to lead a global 24x7 organization within Service Management in the CIO group, responsible for reliability, scalability and incident response across the Corporate Tax and Trade product portfolio.

You will mentor SRE managers and engineers, drive automation, AI-driven operations, observability, and resilience, partnering with senior leaders to align roadmaps with business priorities and deliver trusted, high-performing services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in SRE/related tech leadership roles including reliability, scalability and incident management.
• Experience leading global teams supporting large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong expertise in observability, automation, disaster recovery, and resilience engineering.
• Experience partnering with Service Management and influencing product/tech roadmaps for reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead 24x7 reliability and operational excellence for a global portfolio of mission-critical applications.
• Act as executive escalation point during major incidents with clear stakeholder communication.
• Embed reliability into product design, development, and release processes.
• Define and continuously improve observability, incident management, DR, and resilience practices.
• Champion automation and AI-driven operations to boost efficiency and reduce disruptions.
• Shape SRE strategy, operating model, and engineering behaviors across product portfolios.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of SRE managers and engineers.
