Job summary

Mondelez International is seeking an Autonomous Maintenance Pillar Lead based in Chicago to drive the AM pillar across global manufacturing and supply chain sites. You will shape standards, tools, and governance, and partner with regional teams to deliver improvements in equipment effectiveness and uptime.

The role requires 15+ years in Supply Chain/Manufacturing with deep TPM/WCM experience, and proven global leadership to influence across a matrixed organization while advancing IL6S maturity

  • 15+ years in Supply Chain/Manufacturing; Engineering degree required.
  • Deep mastery and hands-on implementation experiences in Autonomous Maintenance (TPM/WCM).

The Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Pillar Lead is a critical leadership role within the Global Supply Chain Excellence (SCE) organization. As a Global Pillar Owner, you play a critical role to accelerate our IL6S journey and own the standards , tools, best practices, health checks, and governance for the AM pillar and is part of the Global Center. The AM Pillar Lead is accountable for designing, deploying, and sustaining the AM pillar methodology across all global manufacturing and supply chain sites, driving operator‑led equipment care, asset reliability, and zero‑loss culture. The role partners with site leadership, regional teams, and cross‑functional pillar owners (IM/IIM, PM, FI) to deliver measurable improvements in equipment effectiveness, reduce unplanned downtime, and build organizational capability in autonomous maintenance practices.

How you contribute

You will:

Strategic Pillar Ownership

As Global Pillar Owner, own and govern the AM pillar standards, tools, best practices, health checks, and governance

Own and drive the global AM pillar strategy, roadmap, and standards aligned with the overall SCE vision and strategic priorities, especially accelerating Phase 0/1 ambition.

Define the AM pillar maturity model, step‑progression framework, and audit/assessment criteria

Set global AM KPIs and targets; track, report, and drive performance across all sites

Ensure alignment and integration with other SCE pillars (Focused Improvement, Initial/Improved Maintenance) and specifically with Planned Maintenance pillar to optimize the maintenance strategy split between AM and PM activities.

Partner with Digital Supply Chain team to support integration and enhancement of digital tools to support progression of AM pillar

Stakeholder engagement and change leadership

Influence and engage regional and site leadership to secure commitment, resources, and cultural support for AM

Partner with HR/People Leads to embed AM behaviors into performance management and recognition systems

Drive change management and communication strategies to sustain AM engagement , progress and accountabilities a t all levels

Capability Building & Coaching

Coach and develop site‑level AM pillar leads and practitioners across all regions

Build a global community of practice for AM knowledge sharing and peer learning

Assess and certify AM competency levels across the organization

Develop programs with Global Capability team to increase IL6S mastery (Gemba & IL6S Academies)

Design, maintain and evolve AM training curricula for operators, technicians, team leaders, and site AM leads to drive adaption and delivering measurable improvements.

Deployment & Governance

Lead the global deployment of AM across sites, prioritizing based on maturity . business impact and strategic roadmap.

Conduct regular pillar assessments, health checks, audits, and step‑progression reviews at site level

Facilitate global AM pillar meetings, reviews, and governance forums

Ensure consistent application of AM methodology while allowing for local adaptation where appropriate

Performance Management

Track KPIs for the Advanced Sites network; drive data quality and harmonization

Identify and replicate best practices and breakthrough improvements across the network

Drive measurable reductions in equipment breakdowns, minor stops, and quality defects attributable to equipment condition

Report global trends and inform strategic decisions

Salary and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $142,700 to $235,455; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location.
