Role Overview

As the Director, Global Product Development for Kiehl’s, reporting to the VP of Global Product Development, you will lead innovation and development of skincare formulas for the Clarity & UV categories, aligning with Kiehl’s brand strategy and L'Oréal Luxe's commitment to exceptional product experiences. You will collaborate with the Head of Product Development, Marketing, and Research & Innovation teams to shape the future of Kiehl’s skincare, creating innovative, high-performing products that resonate globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Innovation: Develop and execute formula and innovation strategies for Clarity & UV, identifying short- and long-term opportunities.
  • Expertise & Collaboration: Serve as the key expert for Clarity & UV product development, providing expertise in formula, texture, claims, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with Marketing, R&I, Operations, and external vendors.
  • Ingredient Strategy: Define ingredient strategies to drive innovation, enhance efficacy, and align with sustainability goals.
  • Clinical Testing: Develop and oversee clinical testing strategies ensuring scientific rigor and effective communication of product benefits across skin tones.
  • Portfolio Management: Advocate for portfolio needs based on market trends and consumer insights to maintain competitive edge.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Manage the end-to-end product development process across departments to ensure operational excellence.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate combines scientific expertise, leadership, and passion for Kiehl’s. They are collaborative, able to build strong relationships across functions and with external partners.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $138,500 – $200,800
