A Day in the Life

As the Director, Global Product Development for Kiehl’s, you will report to the VP, Global Product Development, and lead the innovation and development of skincare formulas for the Clarity & UV categories, aligning with Kiehl’s brand strategy and L’Oréal Luxe’s commitment to exceptional product experiences. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Product Development, Marketing, and Research & Innovation teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Kiehl’s skincare, leveraging your expertise to create innovative, high-performing products that resonate with consumers worldwide.

Lead Innovation: Develop and execute the formula and innovation strategy for Clarity & UV, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify short- and long-term opportunities.

Expertise & Collaboration: Serve as the key expert and point of contact for Clarity & UV product development, providing expertise in formula, texture, claims development, and regulatory compliance. Foster strong working relationships with Marketing, R&I, Operations, and external vendors.

Ingredient Strategy: Define ingredient strategies to drive innovation and enhance product efficacy, ensuring alignment with Kiehl’s brand values and sustainability goals.

Clinical Testing: Develop and implement robust clinical testing strategies, ensuring that all tests are designed to meet the highest standards of scientific rigor and effectively communicate product benefits across diverse skin tones.

Portfolio Management: Advocate for portfolio needs based on market trends, consumer insights, and feedback, ensuring that Kiehl’s maintains a competitive edge in the skincare market.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Orchestrate the end-to-end product development process, collaborating with all relevant departments to ensure operational excellence for both new and existing products.

Scientific Expertise: Deep understanding of skincare formulation, texture development, claims substantiation, and regulatory requirements.

Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, build consensus, and drive projects to completion.

Innovation: A creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for developing cutting-edge skincare products.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans, aligning product development with overall brand and business objectives.

What’s In It For You:

Salary Range: $138,500.00 – $200,800.00
