Job summary

Zymo Research is seeking an experienced Director of Product Commercialization to lead the team responsible for translating scientific innovation into differentiated products, successful launches, and sustained portfolio growth. This leader will oversee the Portfolio Commercialization Managers and set priorities, standards, and performance expectations to commercialize products globally.

Reporting to senior leadership, the Director will own commercialization performance across the product

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences (MS or PhD strongly preferred; MBA valued).
• 10+ years in product management, product marketing, or commercialization in life sciences tools or biotech.
• Proven leadership, building teams and holding teams accountable to measurable results.
• Strong commercial and analytical capabilities including market analysis, pricing, forecasting, and business cases.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead commercialization strategy across portfolios with revenue and profitability targets.
• Set portfolio priorities, objectives, resources, and performance expectations for the team.
• Ensure portfolios have clear customers, positioning, value propositions, GTM plans, and lifecycle priorities.
• Lead cross-functional stakeholder collaboration to align market needs and commercial execution.
• Own governance for launches, market validation, pricing, channel readiness, and lifecycle reviews.
• Oversee pricing, demand forecasts, financial models, and portfolio investment proposals.
