Seattle Children’s Hospital and Research Institute in Seattle, WA invites nominations for the Director of the Center for Global Infectious Disease Research (CGIDR). The Director will lead strategic planning, research directions, and program administration across CGIDR, SCRI, and the broader Seattle Children’s enterprise.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or MD/PhD or PhD in health-related field.
• Record commensurate with appointment as an Associate Professor or Professor at the University of Washington.
• Proven leadership in infectious disease research and program administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic planning and research leadership for CGIDR.
• Oversee program administration in support of SCRI, CGIDR and Seattle Children’s.
• Recruit and develop faculty; maintain infrastructure and resources.
• Foster collaborations and expand external funding for infectious disease research.
• Bridge clinical practice and research to improve patient outcomes with translational focus.
