Job summary

United Therapeutics seeks a seasoned leader to head Global Medical Affairs Operations in a hybrid RTP, NC setting. You will oversee budgets, governance, and analytics, driving cross-functional programs that align with corporate strategy and patient priorities.

You will build high-performing teams, implement data-driven decision making, and partner with GMA leaders to deliver integrated planning and reporting across global functions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in pharma/biotech with medical affairs or operations leadership.
• Experience building high-performing teams and data-driven decision making.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration across geographies and functions.
• Proven ability to drive budgets, governance and process improvements.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; influencer, not just manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of budget, governance, and analytics within Global Medical Affairs Operations.
• Lead cross-functional processes aligning medical affairs with corporate strategy.
• Develop dashboards and analytics to measure KPIs and impact.
• Partner with GMA leaders to drive strategic initiatives and resource planning.
• Build and mentor high-performing teams; manage succession and development.
• Ensure SOPs, compliance, and risk mitigation across GMA operations.
