Job summary

Euronet Worldwide is expanding its epay unit with a unified global fraud function. We seek a Director, Global Fraud to shape detection capabilities, policies and operating models across business lines and regions. This hands-on leadership role will evaluate core technology stacks and govern vendor relationships while driving a scalable fraud program.

The position offers global visibility, travel up to 25%, and the chance to influence major technology decisions in a growing payments business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead epay's global fraud strategy, systems roadmap and policy framework across all business lines, adapting controls to each line's fraud vectors and risk profile.
• Design and continuously improve detection and prevention controls for gift card fraud, including elder scams and rack manipulation.
• Own the fraud risk framework for open-loop prepaid programs (Giftzy, Prezzy) across multiple regions, covering card-not-present fraud and account takeover.
• Partner with European acquiring and other regional teams to manage merchant and transaction-level fraud risk and compliance.
• Lead build-vs-buy evaluations for core fraud technology (e.g., Skylight vs Fraud.net) and set a long-term technology strategy.
• Serve as the fraud risk lead for proposed strategic initiatives related to card issuing and agentic payments.
• Develop and maintain global fraud policies, typology libraries, detection rules and risk thresholds; ensure consistency across regions.
• Manage vendor relationships and budgets, holding providers accountable to SLAs and performance.
• Build and report KPI dashboards for executive management, highlighting material fraud risks and incidents.
• Collaborate with Compliance/AML, Product, Engineering to embed fraud controls in new products and markets.
• Build and mentor a global fraud team as the function scales.
