Job summary

Quetzal Therapeutics in the United States is seeking a Director of Program Management to partner with functional leaders across Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, CMC, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, Quality, Biometrics, and external vendors to align development plans with strategic goals.

The ideal candidate brings deep drug development knowledge and strong program leadership to drive cross-functional execution, manage risks, and deliver clear communications to executive leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Pharmacy, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments.
• 5+ years of program or project management experience supporting drug development programs.
• Demonstrated understanding of clinical development and regulatory processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated development plans for Quetzal's development programs.
• Define program strategy with cross-functional leaders and translate into executable plans.
• Identify and manage program-level risks, interdependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Drive cross-functional execution against milestones and timelines.
• Support portfolio planning and strategic program initiatives.
• Ensure alignment across Clinical Development, Regulatory, CMC, Quality, and other functions.
• Communicate risks and decisions with mitigation opportunities.
• Develop and manage integrated program timelines and critical path analyses.
• Track progress and identify risks, delays, and resource challenges.
• Prepare dashboards and graphics for program reviews and exec discussions.
