Job summary

Generac is seeking a Director of Cybersecurity Operations to lead global security operations and engineering, safeguarding a technology-driven enterprise. You will shape strategy, manage incident response, and drive automation with SOAR and AI across a world-class program.

Based onsite at Generac's headquarters in Waukesha, WI, you will mentor high‑performing teams, partner with external providers, and report to the CISO while delivering measurable risk reduction and strategic influence.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years in cybersecurity with leadership in operations and engineering.
• Experience directing enterprise incident response including major incidents.
• Knowledge of XDR, MSSP partnerships, and managed services.
• Proven ability to translate risk into security program improvements.
• Strong communication skills with executives and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global security operations center strategy and roadmap.
• Oversee incident response playbooks, tabletop exercises, and executive communications.
• Partner with XDR providers and managed services to ensure 24/7 coverage.
• Drive SOAR automation and AI-enabled security operations.
• Lead security engineering across endpoints, network, cloud, identity, and email.
• Own telemetry strategy and SIEM tuning for timely reporting.
• Collaborate with governance, product security, and regional leaders.
