Job Summary

The Director for Global Business Development within our business-to-business sales organization will play a critical role in driving the global business development strategy for our Contract Manufacturing Organization. This role manages all global opportunities and leads from initial contact to the handover for commercialization projects. The position is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive global business development strategy, fostering key customer relationships, and ensuring alignment with regional sales and Key Account Management (KAM) teams to maximize growth and market penetration.

As a key global role, the Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Product Management, to identify and capitalize on business opportunities to expand the company's footprint in the global Contract Manufacturing market. This includes managing strategic accounts (such as MedTech, big pharma, and biotech), building partnerships, and negotiating high-value contracts with the support of KAM teams.

Position Details:

  • Remote work possible, with willingness and ability to travel 30-40% (domestic & international).
  • Base salary range: $167,000 - $202,500.
  • Eligible for an annual bonus plan targeting 16% of base salary.
  • Eligible for our medium-term incentive plan.
  • Final pay will depend on experience, education, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a global business development strategy for the Contract Manufacturing Organization - MedTech, aligned with corporate objectives and market trends.
  2. Define and lead the execution of business development goals across all regions.
  3. Set clear regional business development goals and monitor performance to ensure alignment with overall company strategy.
  4. Support sales and KAM teams with complex deals, pricing strategies, sales presentations, and P&L/budget activities.
  5. Negotiate and close complex sales agreements, partnerships, and licensing opportunities with key global accounts and partners.
  6. Collaborate with technical teams to address customer product requests and support RFP/RFQ processes.
  7. Represent the company at conferences and trade fairs as a brand ambassador.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Economics, Life Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in sales and business development within the pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
  • Deep understanding of the medical devices industry, including market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 30-40%.
