Zusammenfassung

Lilly’s BioTDR center in San Diego seeks a Director of Design Validation & Learning to lead validation and continuous learning for de novo biologics design. You will bridge model development with experimental measurements, drive learning cycles, and advance physics-based methods within the design pipeline.

Serve as scientific lead, defining benchmarks, coordinating validation studies, and mentoring a team while collaborating with computational and experimental groups to improve design iterations

Qualifikationen

• Ph.D. in computational biology, biophysics, computational chemistry, bioengineering, chemical engineering, physics, statistics, or related STEM with 3+ years experience; or an M.S. with 6+ years; or a B.S. with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Track record of leading efforts that compare computational predictions with experimental measurements and translating findings into decisions.
• Strong Python and applied statistical skills, including calibration, uncertainty analysis, and quantitative evaluation.
• Experience benchmark­ing/evaluation suites and collaborating with experimental teams is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Model evaluation and benchmarking across accuracy, generalization, designability, novelty, and prospective outcomes.
• Prospective validation and closed-loop learning with experimental teams; interpret results and translate into design improvements.
• Model calibration against experimental data including structure confidence and binding/affinity predictions.
• Physics-based computation including molecular dynamics and structure-based methods integrated with ML approaches.
• Active learning and data generation with cross-functional teams to guide design rounds.
