RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Director of Gastroenterology to provide strategic and operational leadership for digestive health services across the northern region. You will partner with service line leaders, physicians, and executives to drive growth and integrate care across sites.

The role emphasizes operational leadership, program development, financial stewardship, and faculty growth within a complex health system. A collaborative, data-driven leader is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree requirement with leadership experience in healthcare management and strategic planning.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in project management, finance, healthcare management, strategic planning, or related discipline.
• Healthcare financial management, analysis, and business planning experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in healthcare and/or academic medical centers preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership with executive-level stakeholders.
• Ability to build consensus and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience handling politically and financially sensitive issues.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic leadership across clinical operations, program development, business planning, physician engagement, and service line growth.
• Oversee GI clinical services development and expansion and support space, technology, and operational planning.
• Develop and execute system-wide business development and strategic planning for Gastroenterology services.
• Support growth of academic faculty, subspecialty programs, and Medical Group practices.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement new programs, services, technologies, and care models.
• Partner with departments, hospitals, and health system on space and technology planning.
• Support physician recruitment, development, engagement, and retention initiatives.
• Pursue accreditations and external recognitions including US News rankings.
• Develop and monitor performance metrics on volume, quality, safety, patient satisfaction, and finances.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to boost outcomes, efficiency, and resource use.
• Manage Digestive Health meetings and ensure execution of strategic priorities.
• Build relationships with referring physicians and coordinate cross-continuum care.
• Promote collaboration across departments and community partners.
