Job summary

Nscale seeks a Director of Pipeline Engineering to own the engineering of its gas transmission pipelines, from upstream interconnect to plant fence. You will lead hydraulic design, control philosophy, and third‑party engineering efforts, ensuring alignment with engine demand and campus availability.

This senior, hands-on role requires independent leadership, setting design baselines, managing EPC partners, and driving delivery across multiple lines with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of natural gas pipeline engineering experience as lead/owner’s engineer.
• Deep hydraulic modeling and inventory-based system understanding.
• Strong process safety, regulation, and code knowledge (49 CFR Part 192; ASME B31.8).
• Experience leading consultants and construction contractors on major projects.

Responsibilities

• Own design basis for gas transmission pipelines and hydraulics.
• Direct third-party consultants and contractors in design, review, and delivery.
• Coordinate with interconnects, plant interfaces, and regulatory teams.
• Develop and implement engineering standards and reference designs for pipelines.
