Job Summary:
Role Purpose:
- The Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team is responsible for planning and estimate cycles, internal reporting, financial analysis, and preparation of materials for client and Comcast senior management, Investor Relations, and other key stakeholders.
- The team is also driving the transformation of enterprise FP&A by leveraging SAP Business Data Cloud and other modern data and analytics capabilities to improve planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision-making.
- As the Director, FP&A Data Lead, you will be responsible for executing the data strategy for the finance organization, shaping the roadmap for governed, high-quality finance AI ready data products that support scalable planning, reporting, analytics, and automation capabilities.
- This role partners across Finance, Technology and Governance to enable the broader finance transformation roadmap across client.
- The ideal candidate can bridge finance and technology, translating business needs into scalable data solutions while engaging in topics such as data modeling, hierarchies, semantic layers, data quality, metadata, and governance.
- As part of an emerging function at client, this high-impact role will help shape how finance data products are defined, managed, and scaled across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the data strategy and roadmap in alignment with enterprise finance transformation priorities, including planning modernization, reporting standardization, executive decision support and AI capabilities.
- Partner across Finance and Technology to translate business needs into scalable data solutions, working closely with FP&A, controllership, accounting, treasury, tax, business unit finance, data engineering, architecture, analytics, and data governance teams.
- Design and govern reusable finance data products, models, and semantic layers that standardize key metrics, reporting hierarchies, reporting logic, and financial concepts across SAC, Datasphere, dashboards, planning tools, and downstream analytics.
- Drive delivery of data products by translating requirements into technical specifications, prioritizing backlogs, supporting agile execution, enabling users through training and documentation, and measuring success through data quality, and business impact KPIs.
- Establish and enforce data quality, governance, and control standards including validation rules, reconciliation routines, certification tiers, metadata management, lineage, documentation and access controls.
- Champion standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement across finance data and reporting processes, while staying current on emerging capabilities in finance transformation.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- BS/BA degree required in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
- 5 10 years of experience, preferably with a strong focus in finance.
Desired Characteristics:
- Strong understanding of finance processes, including planning, analytics, management reporting and financial hierarchies.
- Experience with finance data transformation in a large media, entertainment, technology, consumer products, or multi-business-unit organization.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms, data catalog and data semantics tools.
- Experience with SAP EPM or similar planning and business intelligence platforms.
- Ability to bridge business and technology teams and drive alignment across stakeholders
- Product mindset with experience defining roadmaps, prioritizing use cases, managing backlogs, and measuring adoption and business impact.
