“People don’t choose their careers; they are engulfed by them.”
We are seeking a strategic, business-minded Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our Finance leadership team. You will partner with executive leaders to translate strategy into financial plans, deliver insights that drive decisions, and maintain financial discipline across the business. This role owns long-term planning, sponsor and board reporting, and corporate metrics and initiative tracking.
What would I be doing?
- Serve as the primary finance contact for the company’s private equity sponsor, owning intake and response for all recurring and ad hoc requests.
- Own core PE-ownership activities, including board materials and M&A and diligence support.
- Support leadership with operating reviews and executive presentations on financial performance and business outlook.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership: assess business performance, surface risks and opportunities, and inform strategic decisions.
- Own the three-to-five-year financial model and long-term plan.
- Evaluate investments, resource allocation, and strategic initiatives through financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Own consolidated corporate metrics reporting, including ARR and retention.
- Drive company-wide initiatives, representing Finance on cross-functional teams and helping business leaders achieve their targets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Success in this Role Looks Like
- A current, accurate three-to-five-year financial model grounded in company metrics.
- Timely, accurate forecasts and insights that improve executive decision-making.
- The ability to translate business results into clear, compelling narratives for executive leaders, business unit leaders, and the board, so each audience understands what is driving performance and what it means for the outlook.
- Sound judgment and critical thinking: testing assumptions, asking the right questions, and offering clear recommendations rather than options alone.
- A strong, trusted relationship with the company’s private equity sponsor, supported by responsive, consistent handling of requests and accurate, well-organized board and sponsor materials.
- Reliable, consistently defined corporate metrics, including ARR and retention, that give the company and its sponsor confidence in performance and trends.
- Disciplined, repeatable processes for sponsor reporting, board materials, and diligence support that maintain quality under tight timelines.
