Summary
The Director, FP&A leads forecasting, planning, reporting, and financial analysis for the EPC business and corporate functions across the Americas, including the U.S. and Canada. Serving as the primary finance partner to the Chief Operating Officer, this role works closely with the Senior Director, FP&A, the CFO, and business leaders to translate project, construction, and corporate performance into actionable insights. Requirements
- Leads forecasting, budgeting, month-end reporting, and variance analysis for the EPC business and corporate functions, managing the monthly FP&A cycle from input collection through executive reporting.
- Owns consolidated FP&A for the Americas, including EPC, Development, and Corporate results; the consolidated monthly cash flow forecast; OPEX (SG&A and indirect COGS), CAPEX (including F&E), and DevEx reporting; and Group reporting cadence, standards, and submissions.
- Acts on behalf of the Senior Director, FP&A in engagements with the CFO, COO, and Group Finance, as needed.
- Maintains FP&A quality controls and reporting standards — enforcing a single source of truth per metric and ensuring results are accurate, reconciled, traceable to source, free of hardcoded figures, and clearly explained before executive and Group review.
- Challenges Accounting and Project Controls when actuals do not reconcile to expectations — for example, a POC margin movement is decomposed, not accepted.
- Drives accountability across budget owners, Project Controls, Accounting, and the IFS/data team for input quality and timeliness — defining required templates and checks, confirming owners and ETAs, and escalating slippage.
- Defines the coming year’s reporting structure (SG&A and indirect-COGS cost centers, F&E charging, and allocations) during planning, implements it with Accounting, and holds it fixed for the year.
- Partners with EPC project, construction, and operations teams to improve project cost forecasts, cash flow projections, margin analysis, and percentage-of-completion reporting.
- Develops and maintains integrated financial and cash flow models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, liquidity planning, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making.
- Delivers executive-level analysis and performance reporting, translating business results, key drivers, material variances, and methodology changes into clear recommendations — pre-briefing leadership ahead of reviews so there are no surprises.
- Builds trusted partnerships with business and functional leaders to standardize FP&A processes, improve forecast accuracy, and strengthen reporting and analytics.
- Attends work regularly and complies with the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and company policies and procedures.
Safety
- Leads by example with a safety- and quality-oriented attitude, reinforcing that safety is the most important function.
- Continually reinforces safe behaviors and corrects 'at-risk' behaviors.
- Adheres to, and ensures team members understand, standard operating procedures.
Leadership
- Fosters and demonstrates a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, serving others, building trust, innovation, and exceeding expectations.
- Leads and develops the EPC FP&A team (one or more direct reports), holding it to the FP&A Team Standard — assessing capability, coaching, and managing performance.
- Participates in hiring and selection process to fill positions on the team.
- Communicates regular...
