Job summary

Texas A&M AgriLife Research seeks a dynamic leader to serve as Director of Texas A&M AgriLife Foundation Seed, located at Vernon, Texas. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• Ten years of related experience.
• Demonstrated experience in seed production, operations, or commercialization.
• Experience supervising personnel and managing budgets.
• Knowledge of seed production systems, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work with scientists, producers, licensees, and stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, organizational, financial, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for Texas A&M AgriLife Foundation Seed.
• Oversee production planning, field operations, storage, inventory, and distribution.
• Ensure quality assurance and compliance with seed standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with breeders, innovation offices, and external partners for licensing and commercialization.
• Develop relationships with seed producers, licensees, and stakeholders.
• Lead market development and distribution strategies to expand reach.
• Manage financial operations including budgeting, revenue, and forecasting.
• Recruit, supervise, and develop Foundation Seed personnel.
• Oversee facilities, land, equipment, and information systems.
• Coordinate with Vernon Center Director on site-based matters.
• Represent the Foundation Seed in meetings and industry events.
