Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point invites applications for the Director of the Wisconsin Forestry Center, a full-time, 12-month tenure-track professorship within the Natural Resources Institute. The Director will provide 60% administration, 20% teaching (up to 2 courses annually), and 20% development and outreach, aligning with UW–Madison Extension and CNR objectives.

Responsibilities include strategic leadership, grant management, and coordinating research and extension programming

Qualifications

• Direct and supervise Wisconsin Forestry Center programming, budget, and personnel resources.
• Develop and implement strategic planning aligned with WFC mission and outreach.
• Provide annual program, services, and research reports to administrators.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee administrative, fiscal, and personnel management for the WFC.
• Develop extramural funding and coordinate development efforts for forestry outreach and research.
• Teach undergraduate courses (2 courses per academic year) and mentor students.
