Job summary

Driscoll’s is seeking a Director, Food Safety Processes to lead enterprise food safety and regulatory compliance across the Americas. The role sets standards, governs policies, and drives systems that protect consumers and enable business continuity.

Reports to senior leaders and collaborates across regions to implement robust programs. The position requires on-site presence in Watsonville, CA or Guadalajara, Mexico, with no remote option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; graduate degree preferred.
• 10+ years in food safety with regulatory experience.
• Experience in produce/perishable sectors and cross-border compliance.
• Familiar with US, Canada, Mexico, Peru regulations and worker welfare.
• Experience managing information systems and data governance.
• Strong verbal and written communication; fluent in English; Spanish preferred.
• Minimum 3 years people management; willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year food safety compliance strategy for the Americas.
• Govern policies, records, procedures and verification programs enterprise-wide.
• Monitor regulatory developments and direct cross-functional responses.
• Lead system governance for TELUS, FACTS, Azzule and SafetyChain integrations.
• Establish KPIs, dashboards and executive-ready insights from data.
• Represent Driscoll’s with regulators, customers and industry partners.
