As the senior leader of the Food and Beverage team, the Food and Beverage Director (FBD) fosters a culture that consistently creates opportunities to Exceed Member Experiences through outstanding food and beverage occasions across all dining areas (a la carte locations, event coordination, and satellite locations, including the pool and turn kitchen).
Manage all the Food and Beverage Operations, including Events
Develop and implement an operating plan for events and the restaurant. Address areas such as inventory management, vendor relationships, tastings, wine list management, and cocktail menu development.
Member and Guest Experience
Ensure staff approach every encounter with guests in a friendly, hospitable manner. Create a welcoming atmosphere, stay informed about industry trends, and make events memorable. Respond promptly to comments and complaints, leading by example to provide EPIC service.
Financial Management
Achieve revenue and expense targets, schedule staff effectively, promote participation in club events, and work with the CFO on financial processes and reporting.
Staff Management, Scheduling & Recruiting
Foster a positive work environment, handle recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and staff training. Maintain high standards, ensure certifications, and develop detailed staff schedules.
Event Management
Coordinate with the culinary and marketing teams to deliver high-quality member events. Prepare and execute events, manage contracts, address concerns, and ensure proper setup and cleanup.
Facility Cleanliness and Presentation
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards, oversee facility standards, and ensure a polished appearance of the club.
Facility Representation
Represent the club with professionalism, enthusiasm, and excellent hospitality. Maintain the facility's appearance and foster a positive image.
Facility Management Team
Participate in open communication with management, support interdepartmental cooperation, and contribute to a positive team environment.
Other Duties
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or related field, with at least two years in a leadership role.
Physical Demands: Regular standing, walking, and handling physical tasks; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; potential exposure to various environmental conditions.
Certificates/Licenses: Food Safety, Sanitation, and Alcohol Awareness (RBS).
Skills & Abilities: Leadership, communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking, organizational skills, client service, team building, proficiency in Microsoft Office, financial accountability, and hospitality systems knowledge.
