Job summary

Rev, located in the United States, is seeking a Director of Product Management for the Fire Group to oversee strategy, platform development, and lifecycle management of fire apparatus products across brands.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, sales, dealer partners, and leadership to set priorities that support modularity, standardization, cost control, build efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years in product management, engineering, operations, sales support or related roles.
• Experience with modular platforms or configurable products in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of fire apparatus design and related standards.
• Strong business acumen around cost, margin and customer value.
• Excellent communication, analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with PLM/ERP systems, configuration tools, or BOM management preferred.
• Able to work to schedule across Central and Eastern Time Zones; travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Own and advance product and platform strategy for fire apparatus across brands.
• Develop configurable architecture balancing customization with scalability and cost.
• Maintain a multi-year roadmap aligned with strategy, plant capabilities, and market demand.
• Lead cross-functional alignment with engineering, operations, sales, and dealers.
• Advise leadership on platform investment, standardization and lifecycle actions.
• Guide design-for-manufacturing and platform modularity to improve build efficiency.
• Partner with engineering and operations on architecture, configuration rules and build processes.
• Foster cross-brand collaboration and drive synergies among product lines.
• Synthesize customer input and market trends into actionable requirements.
• Monitor regulatory shifts and competitor offerings for differentiation.
• Manage product performance inputs: cost, margin, volume, and mix.
• Drive standardization of configuration and BOM structures to optimize inventory.
• Utilize warranty, service feedback, and TCO insights for lifecycle planning.
• Lead risk, obsolescence and lifecycle trade-off analysis with supply chain and service teams.
