Job summary

Instructure, Inc. seeks a Director of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting to own complex accounting and reporting, guide technical conclusions, and lead external reporting with one direct report. You will manage debt, equity, and the annual audit, ensuring US GAAP compliance.

The role requires deep technical accounting knowledge, CPA, and 10+ years of experience. On-site Salt Lake City weekly or remote with quarterly travel options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA license or equivalent professional certification.
• 10+ years of combined public accounting and industry experience.
• Deep technical accounting expertise with US GAAP incl. ASC 805.
• Experience in a SOX-controlled environment and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting for complex transactions.
• Own Purchase Price Accounting for M&A.
• Manage US GAAP financial reporting and external audit.
• Oversee debt-related accounting and covenant reporting.
• Oversee the Equity process and equity management.
• Drive automation in financial reporting processes.
