Position: Director - Finance & Accounting

Location: United States (Remote)

Role Overview

The Practice Director is responsible for developing and executing the strategic plan for their market's practice area. This role emphasizes practice growth, profitability, technical expertise, staff management, and client network development. Client service delivery and practice expansion are key focus areas.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Management

• Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff; regularly assess performance and engagement.
• Create work plans supporting fee estimates, resource allocation, and service delivery to ensure client satisfaction.
• Manage cross-region collaboration for opportunities and service delivery.

Strategic Planning & Business Development

• Develop strategic plans for services, including revenue and profit goals.
• Set annual revenue targets and budget in collaboration with the Managing Director.
• Identify opportunities with existing clients and develop new contacts.
• Support business development efforts with proposals and client calls.

Practice Development & Industry Engagement

• Participate in practice evolution, develop training curricula, and stay current on industry trends.
• Contribute to professional society activities and firm-wide thought leadership.

Service Launch & Brand Building

• Lead service offering launches, build brand awareness, and collaborate with Business Development Managers.
• Develop and execute account delivery plans, ensuring quality and risk management.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• 12+ years in professional services, finance, accounting, or consulting within a multinational corporation
• Subject matter expertise and success in building new business segments
• Understanding of industry-specific contracting and procurement methods

Preferred

• Master’s degree and/or CPA
• Industry certifications
• Proven management of large professional teams and revenue growth
• Strong client relationship and cross-marketing skills
