Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Director of Field Reimbursement - West to lead the Respiratory Field Reimbursement organization. You will shape vision, develop leaders, and translate enterprise access strategy into regional execution, ensuring payer access and optimal patient experience.

You will partner with Sales, Market Access, Medical, and Operations to align priorities, manage budgets, and prepare executive reviews. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree or equivalent; or Master’s with 5+ years leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years leadership; or Associate’s with 12 years leadership.
• High school diploma / GED with 14 years of customer service and leadership experience.
• Minimum eight years of progressive field leadership, market access, reimbursement, or related experience.
• Experience leading field-based teams and developing leaders.
• Deep knowledge of Specialty Pharmacy and Buy & Bill reimbursement.
• Strong strategic planning, analytical reasoning, and business acumen.
• Executive communication and collaboration with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach Senior Managers to build strong FRM teams.
• Translate enterprise access strategy into regional execution.
• Connect field activity with insights, trends, and outcomes.
• Maintain expertise in payer policy, coding, and reimbursement.
• Deliver compliant access experiences and cross-functional coordination.
• Develop executive-ready presentations and business reviews.
• Plan staffing and readiness for new indications or launches.
