McAllister & Quinn, a federal research development and government relations firm headquartered in Washington, DC, seeks a Managing Director to lead federal funding strategy and proposal development for tech-for-profit clients. You will serve as a project manager, client advisor, and lead proposals across DoD, DOE, NIH, NSF, ARPA-H, and foundations.

You’ll manage the full lifecycle from opportunity identification to submission, guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years in industry R&D, federal funding, consulting, and/or proposal development.
• Strategic thinker with strong project management and proposal leadership experience.
• Excellent communication, client-facing, and analytical skills.
• Highly collaborative with a strong customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements and manage project teams across engagements.
• Serve as primary client contact, aligning internal and external teams.
• Oversee end-to-end proposal development for federal funding opportunities.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, and quality standards; ensure compliance.
• Engage with DoD, DOE, NIH, NSF, and international partners.
