Job summary

Lifebanc in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Manager of Family Services to oversee the family services department and donor-family support within the organization. The role integrates leadership of coordinators, budget oversight and KPI attainment, while maintaining compliance with CMS, AATB, FDA and OPTN regulations.

The Manager will drive a collaborative culture, supervise staff, ensure training, and partner with hospital teams to support families during donation and recovery processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare fields.
• Social work counseling background.
• 5 years Organ Procurement experience.
• 3 years supervisory/administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and leadership to Family Services Coordinators.
• Manage and coach staff in donor interactions with next of kin.
• Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Oversee employment cycle: interview, onboard, training, discipline, performance management, offboarding.
• Collaborate with quality to review audits and address deficiencies.
• Participate with health care team during end-of-life discussions with next of kin.
• Provide/seeks training to ensure staff is current on required training.
• Ensure staff provides informed authorization or disclosure to donor families.
• Perform monthly audits of reports to monitor goals.
• Maintain ability to conduct comprehensive medical social history interviews.
• Complete electronic DRAI per Lifebanc policies.
• Accurate reporting and documentation during shift change.
• Oversee donor charts and ensure staff coverage for donor families on-site.
• Complete quarterly audits to ensure compliance.
• Assist in budget management and day-to-day operations.
• Review schedules, timecards, PTO, expenses, and POs for direct reports.
• Provide data and reporting for scorecards and planning.
• Participate in policy development and implementation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in healthcare

Social work counseling

5 years Organ Procurement experience

3 years supervisory/administrative experience
