Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC seeks a Director of Facilities Engineering Commissioning to oversee the technical strategy for commissioning across the QTS portfolio, coordinating electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems in large-scale data centers.

The role requires a strong engineering background in data centers, leadership by influence, and proactive partnership skills. Expect 10–30% travel to other sites in the U.S.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience
• 8+ years managing teams and strategic initiatives
• 8+ years engineering experience in technical or critical environments (data center, nuclear, hospital, pharma, semiconductor, industrial)

Responsibilities

• Manage commissioning team and policy development for testing and turnover
• Implement operating and commissioning standards for safety and operations
• Oversee budgets and staffing to meet financial goals
• Coordinate site construction activities to ensure design, installation and testing meet standards
• Develop commissioning plans for Level 1–5 systems including electrical, mechanical and building automation
• Identify and resolve issues during commissioning and drive continuous improvement
• Coordinate SOPs, MOPs, ERP and change management with site teams
• Drive environmentally conscious innovation in facilities programs/systems
• Interface with vendors, engineering, development and operations
• Maintain relationships with staff and executive management
• Assist with OSHA and national electrical codes compliance
• Ensure staff training and growth
